If you stand at the edge of this property, you quickly realize you are looking at something that defies human logic. By all natural rules, putting forty-two wild, growing Canada geese in the same space as six massive Huskies is a recipe for absolute chaos. If a human tried to orchestrate this based on their own wisdom, it would fail. But as an onlooker watching this unfold, it becomes instantly clear that this isn't a human plan at all. It is the Holy Spirit at work. The owners will be the first to tell you: they had absolutely no idea what they were doing. There was no background training in avian science or complex animal husbandry. There was just a daily, quiet surrender to the promptings of God. They recognized that this land does not belong to them—it is God’s land, and they are simply the caretakers called to protect it with the deep respect and stewardship it deserves. Because they chose to follow that inner prompting, God began to reveal the hidden wonders of His creation right in their backyard. To watch these geese is to witness the sheer brilliance of God's design. We often think of wild birds as operating on simple, automated instinct, but the Holy Spirit has highlighted a highly sophisticated intelligence in these creatures. They possess a cognitive depth that rivals crows and ravens. Because this couple simply showed up with the gentle respect God put on their hearts, these geese—from the time they were just weeks old—permanently memorized their faces. They don't just see humans; they recognize their protectors and feel completely safe. Even more incredible is how the Holy Spirit bridged the gap between predator and prey. Huskies possess an intense, natural drive to chase, yet a beautiful boundary of peace was established. The geese didn't flee in panic. Instead, using the incredible situational mapping God designed into them, they sat back and observed. They watched the dogs walk calmly on their leashes, processed the environment, and concluded that these massive animals were part of the safe sanctuary. It is a stunning visual of what happens when we allow God to establish order on His land. Today, this field serves as a literal launchpad. These birds function like a highly intelligent, cooperative society—negotiating sentinel duties, looking out for one another, and utilizing a flawless internal GPS to navigate multi-day journeys before returning right back to the safety of this runway. When you look at this property, you don’t see a curated, human-made wildlife project. You see the beautiful, unpredictable, and humbling result of two people who simply said "yes" to being led by the Spirit, stepping back so that God could turn a simple field into a living testimony of His peace.
