Prayer of new beginnings

Lord God Almighty,

I come before You with a thankful heart. I admit my sins and recognize my need for You.

Thank You for Your cleansing Spirit. Please remove my old ways and fill me with a strong desire for Your truth and righteousness.

Give me wisdom, understanding, peace, and joy.

I believe that Jesus Christ suffered, died on the cross for our sins, defeated Satan, and rose again to give us everlasting life.

In the holy name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.
