Prayer of new beginnings

Lord, God, Almighty

I come before you with thanksgiving in my heart, knowing that I have a spirit of destitution and hollowness. I acknowledge my acts of sin against you, and stand convicted before you, Immanuel. Thank you for your cleansing spirit that will come upon me like a great waterfall over a ledge. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to step out of the way and allowing your presence to excel out of me. Father, I humbly ask that your Holy Ghost baptize me with such a conviction that the old me dies and vanishes so that a fire starts to burn within me. A burn for your truth and righteousness, which will give me the counsel of wisdom and understanding and the gift of the fruit of peace and joy.  I stand before you convicted, broken, and willing to fully acknowledge that you sent the Lord Jesus Christ to be beaten and mocked for his love for us, for dying on a cross so the same people who mocked and beat him may not be damned to hell but given everlasting life, for giving his life for mine. For going into hell to conquer Satan, then rising to sit on the right side of your Lord, God Almighty King of Kings, Lords of Lords. And through the sacred name of Jesus Christ, I pray this prayer.
